The blonde had hoped that it would actually work and that the shinigami would fall her lie —it came to a complete shock to see it actually had worked. She took a small sigh in relief and took another sip of sake as she smiled. It wasn’t a reaction that she took a lot —due to some people just knew her because of the debts she owe when it came down to her horrible gambling.

“That I am!! —I don’t know if you heard it in the announcement in that the Headmaster gave out, though I’m one of the doctors in the academy. I’ve heard so much about Unohana, though I haven’t talked to her myself.” She added, as she was done with her meal and pushed the plate away from her. In the back of her mind, she sometimes doubted her healing skill —due to that she couldn’t save her lover, even though it pained her she couldn’t be sad at times like this.

“I’m glad that you find that amazing, sometimes there are fools that think that their skills are to powerful enough to lack on improving or training. You know what happens to them? —They’ll end up losing.” Even though Tsunade wasn’t actually training, it was true what she had said.

“Well, taijutsu is any techniques involving the martial arts —it only requires on the stamina and strength you get in training. Or in a simple term, it’s just hand-to-hand combat. If you like I could show you some? I’m very advance in taijutsu and it would be my honor to show you some of my skills.”

“You should meet Unohana-taichou! I’m sure you’ll both get along well.”

Hisagi nodded several times as Tsunade spoke, agreeing to everything that she said. He couldn’t help but think how a great teacher she is, and that he could probably learn a lot from her.

“That’s right, sensei. Just because they’re ahead of others doesn’t mean that no one can surpass them. Overconfidence can lead to one’s fall.” He said, before continuing with his meal.

He listened intently as Tsunade explained taijutsu. He was awed and at the same time, felt a little scared at how powerful the teacher really is. He has already heard talks about how powerful Tsunade’s punch is, one of the unlucky victims being Kira, who did his dare — one of first the blonde shinigami had. No shit, it’s for real. He thought that those who talked about that were just not strong enough like him to handle a punch from a woman. No offense to Kira, though. He almost choked on the last bite of his meal when the hokage offered him to show her skills.

“U-Um… H-Here…? Now…?” He asked after emptying his cup. “I really want to see that technique of yours, sensei, but this…” He looked around and saw that there were quite a lot of people in the area. “…doesn’t look like the perfect place to demonstrate your skills. Perhaps, later, when we get back?”

Having no other choice that to accept the cup of sake, and nodded as politely as he could. The fifth seat made no attempt to further push the topic. He wasn’t going to let himself get worked up over a petty matter like this. He was here to drink(apparently), and that was what he was going to do. Despite the fact that he rarely ever drank, other than with Ikkaku and sometimes the other members of Squad 11. 

He had never been drinking with Shuhei before. It was definitely awkward at this point, when neither spoke for several seconds, but after staring into his cup of sake for a few of those seconds, Yumichika decided to speak out. “You know… it’s actually been a while since I’ve been drinking…” He took a sip of sake. 

For a while, there was an awkward silence between the two. But when Yumichika spoke, Hisagi gave the other an awkward stare when the latter mentioned that it’s been a while since he last had a drink.

“You… actually go out for drinks…? P-Pff—” He tried to contain his laughter. He couldn’t believe what he just heard, because Yumichika doesn’t look like the type who drinks… and if he ever drinks, he looks like the type who easily gets drunk.

“I thought you said earlier that drinking is bad for you skin, and it makes you ugly?” He asked in a somewhat taunting way after taking a sip of sake. It’s a good sake. Even if it isn’t that expensive, it tasted like one of those expensive, good-quality sake that he drinks on special occasions only.

“This sake’s not bad, don’t you think?”

“Y-yes! I go out for drinks with Ikkaku and sometimes other squad members!” A small frown formed, as he took another sip. “The nerve…” He continued to grumble under is breathe, taking sips occasionally. 

He heard the mocking tone of Shuhei’s voice. He was too familiar with it to let it go unnoticed. He used that same tone often with people. Yumichika took this tone as a challenge of sorts. “Well, it is when you drink as often as you do. Which would certainly explain why you look like that.” He smirked.

“But, that aside…” Another sip of sake. “Yes, not bad at all…” Before he knew it, he was in need of a refill. 

True, he didn’t drink often, but he had a pretty high tolerance for alcohol. At least… he thought he did… he wasn’t sure. But, he would probably find out soon enough. 

The waitress soon came back with their food and placed their respective orders in front of them. With nothing more to add to their orders, they dismissed the waitress.

“Alright, let’s eat!” Hisagi was happily eating the mapo tofu when Yumichika retorted at his comment. He stopped chewing his food and his eye twitched upon seeing that mocking smirk from the other guy. After swallowing what was in his mouth, he filled his cup with sake again, and Yumichika’s too.

“Hey, I noticed something here, Yumichika.” A sly grin crossed his face.

“You keep on saying that alcohol makes you look bad… Maybe… You’re just using it as some sort of excuse.” He took a sip from his cup. “You easily get drunk, do you?”

That was what Hisagi came up. But he wasn’t sure if that’s true, because he never had drinks with Yumichika before.
